Brief Biography of James Ehrlich, M.D.
James Ehrlich is the medical director and founder of Colorado Heart
and Body Imaging (CHBI) in Denver, a preventive medical imaging facility
using electron beam tomography for early detection of coronary disease
and cancer. Dr. Ehrlich is the medical co-director of similar facilities
in Houston, Washington DC and Boston, while consulting at several other
imaging centers nationally and in Europe. He is also an advisor to related
companies including HealthScreen America, Premier Micronutrient Corporation
and Healthscan.
Considered an authority in the integration of imaging methods with
conventional coronary risk assessment, he has given over 75 lectures
in the field during the past 4 years. He has contributed a chapter on
Electron Beam Tomographic imaging for the second edition of Cardiology
Secrets, a textbook released in 2001. (download

research with investigators at three medical schools, Dr. Ehrlich is
a director and founding member of the Society of Atherosclerosis Imaging.
In Denver, he is routinely profiled in the Denver Business Journal,
"Who's Who in Health Care" and for two years hosted a talk
radio show on KHOW emphasizing preventive medicine.
After graduating with honors from Boston University School of Medicine
in 1976, he did his internship and residency training at the University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center where he remained as a Clinical Assistant
Professor in the department of anesthesiology, a specialty he practiced
for twenty years. Dr. Ehrlich is currently on the staff of University
Hospital and Rose Medical Center in Denver.
